I recall this installation as one of the “liveliest”: the days never seemed to end. Courses in the morning from 9 am to 1 pm with EAE on Print 4 (production planning software), a quick sandwich and then test printing of Il Corriere della Sera on the KBA Comet till 6:30 pm … then everyone going to the hotel for a few hours’ relaxation, and at 10 pm back on the road to prepare production of Gazzetta della Sera, again on the Comet, till three o’clock in the morning.

 When, on top of all this, the Ifra Italia Conference was held in Catania, actually at my hotel, on my birthday, I broke down for the first time, in spite of myself. 

But this did not stop me celebrating in style with the Italian and German technicians, who surprised me with pastries and spumante, as you can see in the photo.
