Swiss efficiency!
In 2010 I had the pleasure of working once more with the Swiss press manufacturer Wifag in connection with installing a rotary press at the new production plant of Corriere del Ticino. For a few months I breathed the air of my second homeland, Switzerland, an opportunity which allowed me to collect some of the linguistic peculiarities of Swiss Italian – about which I think people talk too much, and sometimes mistakenly (but I will dedicate a specific post to this topic in my next blog).
The courses, both in the hall with slides and on the machine, went rapidly and efficiently, thanks to the efficiency of the technician from Ticino who had been involved in the entire installation, but also to the fact that the team consisting of the Wifag instructors and me as interpreter were tried and tested after years of doing installations together.
